  1. Here's one for you. Ethical Superstore has been promoting Ecover's new bulk-buy boxes. They've redesigned the product from plastic bottles to recycled cardboard boxes. You can read a bit more on the Ethical Superstore blog http://www.ethicalsuperstore.com/blog/recycling/its-hip-to-be-square/

  2. Hallo there, I am new to this so bear with me!

Having been told of the ZeroWaste ideas I went to my local Tescoes and took my tupperware tub with me. The fishmonger was a little hesitant at first, saying that this may be a 'health and safety' issue (aren't they always??). Anyway, he obliged and stuck the price/weight sticker over the lid and lip of the tunb. So SUCCESS! was mine!!

I am off to buy some new tupperware tubs and label them in order to keep the fish and meat ones separate.

My only problem is; what happens when they get old and smelly? Do I recylce them thereby causing further problems??

    Nice to be here :-)

  3. Despairing that is a great link. I love Ecover's products and believe they are on the right track with their packaging. They need a proper focus here so thanks for the nudge.

  4. Eddie - welcome to the site. It's great to see you here and what an inspiring message about about Tesco. There is currently an issue with what to do with containers once they've got old and smelly because recycling that type of plastic is a problem in the UK. However, with progress who knows. At least in the meantime, you will have done your bit for reducing a whole load of plastic elsewhere and older containers do have some uses, e.g. storing kitchen waste. Thanks for dropping in and hope to see you again soon.
